Our hosts, Dr. Jeff Williamson, CEO & Founder of Converge, and Brian Prairie, the Chief Creative Officer of Pathfinder, are joined by Jenny Schoenwetter to discuss her experiences as a leader at Harbor House. Harbor House supports survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, empowerment and prevention. The organization provides a safe environment in which to educate survivors and enable them to safely break their personal cycles of violence.

Throughout our time together, Jenny talks about her background in social work and non-profit fundraising and how it has lead her to her current position at Harbor House. She speaks on how she protects her team’s time so that they can be their best selves; the importance of listening and empowering one’s team, bringing the result of growth and action; and how the more we all grow as a team the more the organization can grow. Jenny also shares on her belief that observing other leaders is a great way to learn and adapt quality and impactful traits of leadership.

Jenny Schoenwetter

Jenny Schoenwetter is the Executive Director of Harbor House – Kankakee County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She graciously took the time to talk to us about her personal leadership story. Her helpful heart was nurtured at an early age because her family hosted foster kids. That showed her how we all need compassion and that still resonates throughout her life.
